AJ Part Whatever

Hi guys.
AJ and I celebrated 8 months together this month. :)
We are moving into an apartment together on Friday, and I couldn't be more excited.
I love him.

AJ Part IX

No one wants to hear about this stuff IRL.
And if they come to this blog, they know what they're going to get.
So can I just say...
I am deliriously happy to be with AJ.

He said today that he wanted me to come down to Sarasota with him soon to meet his folks. I can't wait to introduce him to my peeps, especially my sisters and brother.

It just feels right.

AJ, Part VIII

AJ's family went to the yacht club for Thanksgiving, and he really didn't want to go, but knew he had to.

AJ: I told my mother about you and she seemed miffed that I didn't drag you down here to meet them
Di: awww. yeah you should have.
AJ: Would you have agreed to come?
Di: yeah.
AJ: dammit!
Di: yes, i'd have agreed to go. you learn a lot about someone from how their folks are. so yeah, i want to meet your peeps sometime.
AJ: well I regret not extending the invitation :-(
Di: it's okay, i'd hate to crash the yacht club.
AJ: haha. I'd love for you to crash the yacht club
Di: haha. i'm very parent-friendly. i'm a klutz, but parents tend to like me despite that.
AJ: well, next time I have to go to the yacht club, you ARE coming with. Regardless of your feelings on the matter
Di: haha okay. it's a deal then. maybe christmas.
AJ: That would be great.

DS, part II

Hahahahaha.

I just got a call from D. 19 days after our date. He was calling to see if I'd like to go out this weekend. There is no way I'd accept a date from a guy if he can't find the time in 3 weeks to call me and want to see me. Absolutely not.

AJ, Part VII

I really don't want to brag, but... My friend Rex is right. This one is a keeper.

Monday night AJ cooked us dinner, gnocci with bruschetta. It was delicious. Then we curled up together to watch Amistad. After that I wanted a bath, and since I don't have a bathtub at my place, AJ offered up his. However, since his water doesn't get hot enough for an enjoyable bath, he put two huge pots of water on the stove for me and drew me a steamy bath to relax in.

Oh yeah and last night I made him dinner to return the favor and cut the hell out of my finger in the process. I called AJ and let him know we might need to go to a clinic and get me stitches when he got there, and could he pick some some brown button mushrooms on the way. He said sure, and showed up at the door 4 minutes later with mushrooms, a 6 pack of beer, and flowers. How did I get so lucky? Turns out I didn't need stitches, so that was good. He finished the cooking and bandaged my hand. :)

Yeah. I'm really not letting this one get away. On Nov. 16, we made things official. AJ is my boyfriend now. Eeeeee.

The only thing? He totally leaves the toilet seat up. At his house, I couldn't care less, but come on! At my apartment I keep the lid down!

AJ, VI

Last night AJ and I were on his bed. (And thank god, too, because I'd been dying to make out with someone cute for months.)

He suddenly got a stricken look on his face and asked if I'd mind waiting in the living room while he did something. So I went out there, waited a moment, and then peeked through the doorway to see him changing the sheets.

How cute is that? Unbelievably cute.

AJ, part V

I'm hanging up the hat on this random dating thing. Tonight AJ and I talked, and yes, we're dating. Not in a relationship, but still! He's great. I can't talk about him without sounding ridiculous, so rest assured that I think he's awesome.

Maybe you Gainesvillians will get to meet him sometime!
